Scaling Up Business: Hive Finance’s Next Stage of Growth and Innovation

Hive Finance is entering a new stage of development, requiring a shift in leadership and company structure to support faster growth. As the company moves from a startup phase to a scale-up, governance adjustments have become essential. To sustain rapid expansion Andrius Rupšys becomes the CEO of Hive Finance and hive5.

Ownership Structure Remains Unchanged

While the CEO position has transitioned, the company's ownership structure remains the same. Andrius Rupšys continues to hold 65% of the shares, while Ričardas Vandzinskas - 35%. This means that while leadership responsibilities have shifted, the company’s strategic direction goes step by step with the interests of its shareholders and investors.

The Reasons for Change

Over the past two years, Hive Finance has grown significantly, expanding into multiple European markets. As operations expanded, so did the complexity of managing multiple businesses. A governance model built for a startup no longer matched the company’s growing needs. Hence, to sustain its growth trajectory, Hive Finance is adopting a more scalable governance framework. Also, new well-experienced managers will join the business. Accordingly, a new leadership structure will ensure that each company under Hive Finance operates at its highest potential to benefit investors, borrowers, and the overall business ecosystem.

A Track Record of Strong Performance

Since its establishment in 2022, Hive Finance has made great achievements. The company successfully launched operations across multiple European markets: Ekspres Pozyczka - a profitable and steadily growing loan originator. Finjet - rapidly expanding, with a solid customer base and increasing loan volumes. Credilink - a promising venture preparing for the launch.

Key performance highlights of Hive Finance’s lending companies (Ekspres Pozyczka and Finjet):

  • Total loan portfolio: 9,896,544 EUR
  • Total volume of loans granted: 91,066,273 EUR
  • Number of customers: 68,084

Key performance of hive5:

  • Total loan volume funded since inception: 82,422,928 EUR
  • Number of active investors: 22,941

Surely, the company will continue to benefit from the proven principles. These achievements are the perfect base for continued expansion.

A New Chapter Under Andrius Rupšys

Although the CEO position is changing, this is not a new role for Andrius Rupšys. Since the company’s inception, Andrius has been actively involved in shaping its strategy and growth.

Also, Andrius Rupšys is the founder of Ruptela, a global telematics company that grew from a three-person startup to a company with over 150 employees operating in more than 120 countries. Andrius’s extensive experience in technology-driven solutions will significantly improve Hive Finance’s companies' operational efficiency and user experience. Undoubtedly, his expertise in using high technology to optimise business operations will make a big difference in Hive Finance’s next steps.

"Hive Finance has established a strong foundation for success, and my goal is to build on it by accelerating growth through technology, a stronger leadership structure, and improved governance. The lending industry is changing rapidly, and by integrating more advanced digital solutions, we can improve risk management, customer experience, and overall business performance. I strongly believe this transition is a step towards a more structured and scalable organisation," says Andrius Rupšys, CEO of Hive Finance and hive5.

Strategic Goals and Future Developments

With a renewed focus on governance and technological advancements, Hive Finance has set ambitious goals for the coming years:

  • Expanding financial products in Poland to diversify the offerings and strengthen market presence.
  • Scaling operations in Spain with a focus on improving loan portfolio quality and optimising risk management.
  • Launching Credilink in Romania after securing regulatory approval, with a break-even target by the end of 2025.
  • Improving UX/UI on hive5 to ensure a seamless investment process for all users.

With these changes, Hive Finance is positioning itself for long-term success, ensuring investors, borrowers, and all stakeholders benefit from a more agile and forward-thinking company structure.
