As 2024 is coming to an end, we reflect on a year of incredible progress, stability, and innovation at hive5. This year, we reached significant milestones; however, we faced some challenges and learned the lessons to enter 2025 with more wisdom and motivation.
The Main Achievements
- Total loan volume funded since inception: reached over 70M EUR, with consistent growth month after month.
- Interest paid to investors: Over 1.5M EUR.
- Active investors: Grew our investor base to over 17,000.
- Expected to pay the first year of dividends (for the company “Hive Finance”). We plan to reinvest a significant part of it into business expansion and improve our liquidity buffer.
Expansion into New Markets
In 2024, we made significant business expansion across Europe. We successfully launched FinJet in Spain, meeting the strong demand for short-term loan services. Additionally, we began to develop a loan business in Romania with a new brand Credilink. These milestones have created investment diversification opportunities and strengthened our position in the P2P market.
Lessons Learned in 2024
No year of growth comes without its challenges, and 2024 was no exception. The transition to a new marketplace IT system earlier this year brought unexpected difficulties. Although this created temporary disruptions, it also provided valuable lessons about system optimisation and investor communication. In addition, the completion of our audited financial statements for 2023 and the first nine months of 2024 was delayed due to the increasing complexity of operating as a multinational group. This challenge emphasised the importance of meticulous cross-border tax compliance and governance.
Undoubtedly, our resilience and focus on continuous improvement have strengthened hive5 for the years ahead.
Strategic Plans
Looking ahead, hive5 is gearing up for another year of ambitious growth. Our key objective for the next year is further business expansion. We plan to launch a second brand in Poland and expand offerings with new products for Polish consumers. The goal is to rank among the top five microloan providers in Poland. We plan to triple FinJet's growth in Spain while maintaining portfolio profitability. Also, a very important goal is to launch Credilink in Romania. We aim to scale operations quickly and reach a break-even point by the end of 2025.
Moreover, our team is actively exploring opportunities in new markets and developing innovative financial products to diversify offerings for both borrowers and investors.
Last but not least, we will continue prioritising transparency, ensuring timely communication, and developing new features to make the investment process even more seamless.
